Pythagorean Theorem Proof Presentation Project

Sometime This week or next, you need to learn and present a proof (of your choice) to the class that proves the sum of the squares of the legs of a right triangle equal the square of the hypotenuse (The Pythagorean Theorem). (Worth 4 HW and 4 CW points) The Three Best will get either a new Mitsubishi Kuru Toga 0.5 Mechanical Pencil or a new Pentel GraphGear 1000 .5mm Mechanical Pencil

Possible Methods

Requirements

  1. Site your sources.
  2. Understand the proof (make sure it is a proof for any length, not merely an example that 32 + 42 = 52)
  3. Be able to clarify and answer questions about the proof
  4. Be creative.. try to do something that looks new and different (Be inspired by someone else's work, and build upon it. Don't just show us someone else's work, or plagiarize)
